Second Sucessfull Session

The TriARC Volunteer Examiner (VE) Team was called into action this past weekend for a testing session. While this was TriARC’s second session, it came with a fair amount of firsts. The testing was administered by TriARC’s newest VE Team member, Bruce KU0V, and two of our regular members Jon KK6NLW and Bri KK6NLV. It was also the first time the Team performed a license upgrade, providing two Hams the ability to test up to Extra class. We welcome these two Extra’s into their new expanded band privileges!

The Team also created it’s second brand new Ham during the testing session. This new Ham had expressed an interested in amateur radio at a local CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) event the previous weekend and was invited out to test for his Technician license. After a week of studying, he passed his exam and was issued his callsign first thing Monday morning.

The TriARC VE Team continues to enjoy providing value to the amateur radio community by hosting rather agile testing sessions. The team has been able to mobilize quickly becoming a new “on call” testing team in Southern California.
